Byron Stripling & Carmen Bradford's Tribute To Ella and Louis Columbus Concert reviews
Counting Crows- not pleasing the masses
If you are a fan of the radio versions of their songs or if you are not caught up on their newer songs, DO NOT GO to this concert. The opener, 'Round Here, one of my all-time favorite songs, was not sung but spoken, resembling performance poetry (and the tune to Big Yellow Taxi was nearly unrecognizable). You will not enjoy this concert if you thoroughly appreciate the melodies and catchy choruses that come with Byron Stripling & Carmen Bradford's Tribute To Ella and Louis' songs. The band seems to have very little concern for pleasing the majority of their fans, as most songs sung were new and the older ones differed greatly from the radio versions. Surprisingly, they didn't even play Mr. Jones!
